Hello and welcome back to the Year Five Blog!
We have had another busy yet fun-filled week haven't we? The definite highlight of the week was our first ever Egyptian Day and what a great day it was...
Egyptian Day
We were so impressed with the children on Monday. Even though was it our first day back after half term the children were focused, engaged and a real credit to the Year Group!
I couldn't believe the number of children who chose to dress up, you all looked fantastic!
The activities were really 'hands on' and all the children produced something to do with Ancient Egypt.
Mr Duffy's Activity
Mrs Daniel's Activity
Mrs White's Activity
Mrs Ray's Activity
Mrs Cook's Activity
A HUGE 'Thank You' to Miss Enever for taking all these fabulous pictures. She really is our official photographer!
British Museum reminder
The big day is getting nearer isn't it?
We have a lot of excited children on our hands!
Please don't forget that we MUST leave school at 6.15am promptly. If you are late then I'm afraid the coaches will leave without you!
Don't forget to set that alarm clock...
We have sent out quite a lot of pre-trip information but would be very grateful if all slips are returned and final balances paid as soon as possible.
Worth a Mention Children
Congratulations to all of this week's Worth a Mention Children who are: Amelia, Kaya, Bayleigh, Archie, Mary-Anne, Ollie, Grace, Liam, Mia and Ben.
We are very proud of you!
Parent Consultations
Thank you to parents who have made appointments to see their children's Maths and English teachers on the 2nd and 9th March.
There will be a noticeboard in Reception guiding you to where you will need to go for your appointment.
We would be grateful if we could stick to the allotted appointment time. If additional time is needed then we recommend you make an appointment for another time with the specific teacher.
We are really looking forward to meeting with you.

So, that's it for another week! I hope that you all had a good half term and are looking forward to the next few weeks, we have lots planned (of course) so keep an eye on the blog to see what is coming up.
Next week's Blog will be very British Museum orientated, you have been warned!
Have a good week everyone and I will look forward to seeing you back here next week.
