Incredible Year Five

Hello and welcome back to the Year Five Blog!

So here we are, the roller coaster last few days of the Summer Term and Academic Year!  Year Five continue to do us proud which was demonstrated when we took over 150 of them to The Plaza on Friday!  What a fabulous bunch of children!

Celebration Assembly

We are looking forward to Monday's Celebration Assembly - we have a lot to celebrate don't we?
We will try and get you seated as soon as possible as I appreciate it's going to be a bit hectic with it being the beginning of school and a Monday morning!
As it's always a popular assembly, I think it will be standing room only so be prepared!
We are aiming for an hour.
We'll try our best!

It was lovely to see our Year Five children get together with their Year Eight Buddies on Thursday. I hope your shopping lists weren't too extensive afterwards!
The weather is looking good for Tuesday so we now need to be prepared for the Eat-a-thon! Full training can be given!

Cinema Trip

What a super trip! It was slick and well organised - thank you Mr Duffy and the office staff for enabling it to all happen!

The film was brilliant (well, the bits I saw in between supervising toilet visits!) and the children were incredibly well behaved from beginning to end.

A massive 'Thank You' to our Parent/Grandparent Helpers for getting the children there and back in one piece! You were, as always, a fabulous team and we couldn't do trips like this without you!

Worth a Mention Children

When I went to take a picture of the Worth a Mention Board, I had a definite 'aaaah' moment.

What lovely, lovely comments! I'm not surprised though - they are well deserved!

Reports - a message from Miss Dearden

Thank you to all those of you who have brought the error with the Year Five reports to our attention. This is a systems error which we are currently working to rectify. New reports will be issued for all Year Five pupils.

So, that's it for this week!
I hope you have a good few days  - we are nearly there now!
I shall look forward to seeing you back here where we will have lots of pictures of our last three days, well, if the Year Five camera behaves itself!
